Since 1993, MicroD has created, published and distributed thousands of PreVue electronic product catalogs to retailers who use them to visualize, configure and price custom order products, and to create room plans and product presentations. To fully support electronic commerce, MicroD now licenses its product data management suite of products called MPCat to create, maintain and distribute electronic catalogs in Industry standard formats over the Internet. MicroD also offers catalog and content creation services for its customers.   

All PreVue catalogs conform to the electronic commerce standards endorsed by the Furniture Industry Data Exchange (FIDX) Committee - visit www.fidx.org for information regarding FIDX standards.  The cost to create PreVue catalogs is based on the type and number of products.  Click here for a list of currently published PreVue catalogs.

MPCat services and software from MicroD enable  furniture vendors to quickly, easily and economically create and maintain databases that fully define the products they offer:

• MPCat Online Internet services can be used to create databases for standard (non-configurable) products with no options. 
• MPCat desktop software can be used to create databases for custom (configurable) products that are available with one or more options. 

Databases for standard (non-configured) products typically contain data such as dimensions, descriptions, comments, photographs, line drawings, prices and room planning templates. 

Databases for custom (configured) products contain configuration rules, pricing rules and images of the fabrics, leathers, finishes and trims offered for each product. Product databases created by MPCat can be published as FIDX standard electronic product catalogs and can be distributed via the Internet, CD-ROM or DVD.
