MicroD became the leader because of the opportunity it afforded companies to do better, smarter, faster business with their partners and customers. PreVue was the first phase of product visualization for MicroD, then known as Micro Dynamics, as well as the industry. The desktop software evolved as we noticed the shifting consumer trends. What once was a static, offline feature became ePreVue: product visualization online. Micro Dynamics merged with EXIM EDI and brought another wave of pioneering to the home furnishings industry. The EDI provider helped Micro Dynamics change to the new MicroD Inc. where furniture retailers, manufacturers, and other solution providers could work in unison on our platforms. As our industry hit inflection points, our products transformed to help furniture retailers and manufacturers respond to rising consumer demands for shopping. Online product visualization was revolutionized when the website platform was established. Now, retailers and manufacturers could not only use product visualization tools like our customized furniture draping software and interactive room planner but also serve all of these features with a website for home furnishings shoppers.
INNOVATION
It wasn’t just the retailers who found the innovation at MicroD to be a critical business solution. Manufacturers have been partnering with MicroD Inc. for the catalog data management and product visualization tools. In addition to controlling their brand visibility through MicroD, they also found the new acquisition of MyFurnishWeb to help with dealer request management in one portal. The company formerly known as FurnishWeb became part of the MicroD solutions in 2013. Our company grew and the industry cultivated a new age of omnichannel commerce. Product visualization continued to be a critical component of engaging home furnishings customers. Ecommerce started to inch its way into the strategies of retailers. In 2017, another inflection point made the MicroD solution explode with two new divisions: Digital Marketing and 3D Technology. These two strengths independently allowed MicroD Inc. to serve every aspect of the retail and manufacturer journey for home furnishings consumers. Many retailers found the flexibility and customization of solutions to be the easiest way to stay profitable and even grow revenue in a shifting industry.
GROWTH
With success in our new digital marketing division, MicroD acquired Web Full Circle in January 2018. We knew the award-winning digital marketing agency as the best agency for SEO, paid advertising, and digital marketing for businesses of all sizes. The nationally-recognized agency joined MicroD Inc. and the rest is history. Two powerhouses merged and have continued to grow the profits of retailers in this industry.
We believe it’s important to stay faithful to the industry and the home furnishings consumer that feeds our industry’s next waves of inflection. Our story is filled with change and growth… and it doesn’t stop here.
